Peron Tomato Plant
Peron Tomato Plant
(Also known as Peron Sprayless) Compact vines are fairly disease resistant. Deep-red, dual-purpose canning and slicing sort. Smooth, slightly oblate fruit is very dense-fleshed and meaty, and show very little core. Skins are very thick and tough, simplifying peeling when processing, and making the crack-resistant fresh fruits keep extremely well. Fruit runs 3-6 ounces; flavor is very good, and sweet enough for fresh use as well. Developed prior to 1954 by Prof. Abelardo Piovano of Argentina. Great for container gardening, bush variety, do not prune. Comes in a 4" pot.
